Amir Haddad
Backend Engineer — distributed systems & payments
Berlin, Germany
Backend engineer with six years building payment and ledger systems that have to stay correct under load. I care about the boring parts: idempotency, reconciliation, and the migration path that lets a team ship without a maintenance window.
Experience
Senior Backend Engineer · Northbank Technologies
2022 — present
- Rebuilt the settlement pipeline to process 4.2M transactions/day, cutting end-of-day reconciliation from 90 minutes to under 6.
- Introduced idempotency keys across 14 payment endpoints, removing a class of duplicate-charge incidents entirely.
- Led the Postgres 12→16 migration for a 3.4TB cluster with zero scheduled downtime.
Backend Engineer · Ledgerly
2019 — 2022
- Built the double-entry ledger core still used across three products.
- Reduced p99 API latency from 840ms to 120ms by replacing N+1 access patterns with batched loaders.
Selected work
Reconciliation engine
Streaming reconciliation service that matches internal ledger entries against provider settlement files and flags breaks within seconds rather than overnight.
Idempotency toolkit
Small open-source library that makes exactly-once semantics practical for HTTP payment endpoints without a distributed transaction manager.
Skills
Achievements
- Reduced duplicate-charge incidents to zero across a full financial year.
- Speaker, internal engineering conference — "Migrating a live ledger".
Education
MSc Computer Science
Technical University · 2017 — 2019
Languages
Arabic — Native
English — C1
German — B2

Build my career website →Your CV doesn’t tell the whole story.
A two-page PDF can summarise your career. It can’t show your projects, your thinking, your achievements, your work, or your personality.
A CV is
- Limited to two pages
- Static once sent
- Hard to show projects in
- One of hundreds in a pile
A career website is
- Searchable
- Shareable with one link
- Visual — projects and work shown
- Expandable as you grow
- Always available
- Easy to send to a recruiter
What you actually receive.
Four example sites across different professions. Each has its own visual identity built on the same structure. All profiles below are fictional demonstrations, not past clients.

Not just a website. Your career story.
We organise your experience, skills and achievements into a clear professional narrative, so a recruiter understands your value in the first thirty seconds.
Before
“Managed social media campaigns.”
After
“Managed paid social campaigns across Meta and Google, optimising acquisition performance across €2.4M in annual spend.”
The example above is fictional. We sharpen how your real work is described — we never invent achievements, employers, metrics or qualifications. Everything on your site comes from facts you provide, and you approve every word before it goes live.
How it works.
01
Send us your CV
Share your CV, LinkedIn profile and any project material. We ask questions where something is unclear.
02
We build it
We structure your career story, choose a direction with you, and build the site.
03
You review it
You see the full site, request changes, and approve it. Two revision rounds are included.
04
Go live
We deploy it to your domain, or hand over the finished site — whichever you prefer.
Built for professionals who want to be remembered.
Each site is built around the profession it represents. A developer’s site leads with projects and technical depth; a sales professional’s leads with results and territory. Same structure, different emphasis — not one template with the name swapped.

Domain and hosting are not included in these prices. We deploy your site for you and can host it on a free tier suitable for a personal site. If you want a custom domain, you buy it from a registrar — typically €10–15 per year, paid directly to them. We will tell you the real cost before you commit rather than adding a margin to it.

This service is new, and we are taking our first clients.
We are not going to show you testimonials or client logos we don’t have. This service launched recently and is currently accepting its first customers. The example sites above are fictional demonstrations built to the standard we work to.
What we can tell you is what you get, what it costs, how long it takes, and what happens if you are not happy — all of it on this page, in writing, before you pay anything. If that matters to you more than a wall of five-star reviews, we are probably a good fit.
Start your career website.
Tell us a little about yourself. No payment now — we reply within two working days with next steps and a payment link.
Frequently asked.
Do I need to know how to code?+
No. You send us your career information and we build and deploy the site. You never touch code at any point.
Do I need to have a portfolio already?+
No. Most customers do not. If you have projects, case studies or work samples we will use them; if you do not, we structure your experience and achievements so the site still stands on its own. We will not invent work you have not done.
Can you build the website from my CV?+
Yes — a CV plus your LinkedIn profile is usually enough to start. We will come back to you with questions where something is unclear or where we think an achievement is being undersold.
Can I use my own domain?+
Yes. If you already own a domain we will help you point it at the site. If you do not, we can advise on registering one. Domain registration is paid directly to the registrar and is not included in our price — see the pricing note below.
Can I update the website later?+
Yes. You receive the finished site and can request changes from us, or take the files and maintain them yourself. You are not locked into a subscription to keep your own site online.
How long does it take?+
Typically 5 to 10 working days from the point where we have your complete information, depending on how much material there is and how quickly review rounds come back.
What happens after I purchase?+
We confirm by email, ask for your CV and any project material, and agree a direction. You then see a first version, request changes, and approve the final site before it goes live.
Can I request changes?+
Yes. Both packages include two rounds of revisions. In practice we would rather get it right than count rounds, but two is what we commit to in writing.
Do you write my content?+
We structure and sharpen what you give us — turning flat duty descriptions into clear, specific statements of what you actually did. We work only from facts you provide. We do not invent achievements, employers, metrics or qualifications.
Is hosting included?+
We deploy the site for you and can host it on a free tier suitable for a personal site. If you want a custom domain, that is bought from a registrar and paid by you. We will tell you the real cost before you commit rather than bundling an invented fee.
